"Tax dollars should not be wasted on art, music or theater classes in high school. Public high schools should be about training young people to enter the workforce. Period." This quote expresses the mind set of a lot of people around the world. While they think that the arts are a waste of time, many studies and students say different. The arts promote creativity, growth, self-understanding,
hope and so much more.
People think that by putting money into arts program that it's not teaching us all the skills we need to work in the workforce. Though in fact, arts programs can teach students creativity and problem solving skills. While core classes are important and do teach us great skills, the arts are very much needed for future opportunities that students may be offered.
