Response to Gottfried Helnwein

This image is a a photo of a woman's eye, and what seems to be a man walking on her like someone would if they were cleaning the outside windows of a skyscraper. It could also look like the small man on her face is mountain climbing. I think this image is more artistic than documentary. I also think it is photoshopped as well. This photo is conveying to me that the girl is more like a statue or robot and is being cleaned or repaired by the man. Therefore the image is also saying that people are loosing the ability to feel and are becoming slightly more robot like

After looking at the whole photo my whole opinion of the photo is changed. The whole photo is a man actually painting a huge mural on a very large wall. It is a picture of a young girls face with very large blue/green eyes, brown hair, freckles, pale, and red cherry lips, the details are very intricate. After taking a closer look at her eyes you can also see that there may be something trapped in her eyes. The largeness of this girls face might represent the smallness she may feel. The location of the image is in a city setting, very industrial and it seems to be close to water and a road so lots of people are going to see this. The mood isn't creepy, but also isn't happy, maybe melancholy. The expression on the girls face is completely blank, but you can tell that she is thinking of something or feeling something. I think the title suggest that unless people say speak up nothing will get better.
